As I make my way around California I am attempting to see all the Registered California Historical Landmarks. In some case this will not be possible as the place no longer exists, or in one instance the monument was moved out of state, moored in Mexico, damaged by a storm , reefed and then destroyed. So we shall see where my travels take me. On most trips I look to see where I am going and adjust my route to see as many landmarks as time will allow. Currently I am the biggest contributor to the California Historical Landmark group on Flickr.

Not all things here will be a registered California monument, Since I am in the L.A. area I frequently look for Los Angeles Monuments and other things of interest on my travels. I also will take trips overseas and will be including some of those historic sites here.

Currently working in the healthcare industry in IT, I have been lazy and lacking when it comes to updating this website. i want to change that but we'll see what happens.

After the Street fair i became a docent for the Santa Clarita historical Society. And Although I have been lack in my duties of late it is my intention of working there at least once a month again. As it is I have a soft spot for the history of Santa Clarita, noting that it has a key spot in the history of California. with the site of the first Gold discovery in CA, the first oil well to make a profit, the location for the joining of the rail line between L.A. and San Francisco and the site of the worst civil engineering disaster in the history of the United States, with the collapse of the St. Francis Dam in 1928 along with other items of note.
